Rejoice: Great Insights Help Uplift Soul — Stuart Wilde, George Saunders, Susan Sontag, Frank Dunlop, Hunter Thompson, Mark Twain, Andre Gide, Marilyn Monroe, Mandy Hale, Carl Jung, Doris Lessing, Jim Carrey, Alfred Hitchcock, Heidegger, Marion Goodman, Mel Brooks, Ram Dass

Leonard Morris Dubrow: Spread love — not fear. Reaction: With all the mean-spirited, robotic-like monsters marauding around mainly interested in fighting and war, it's unsafe to be the kind of person who functions on love, yet it is necessary to learn how to be love, which leads to nirvana — loving everything. CSNY, "Judy Blue Eyes": "Fear is the lock -- love is the key." To my perception, FEAR permeates the planet, making it necessary to become aware so one can root out fear in order to function secured by love in the heart.

"Need the slay the dragon of negativity that emanates from the collective unconscious." "There is far too much shadow being projected out; each person seems to be trying to take their insecurity out on others."

George Saunders: Karma means cause and effect. Now, we can't always discern it. But Karma for me is just the super-long-range cause and effect. A magical moment in life.

All understanding begins with not accepting the world as it appears.

Frank Dunlop (director): It would be impossible for me to live with anybody — man, woman or dog for any length of time. Enchanting audiences was "the best sort of lovemaking."

"Some may never live -- but the crazy never die."
"The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time."
"It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not."
"Keep smiling because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."
Outer beauty pleases the eye. Inner beauty captivates the heart.
Sometimes when you lose your way you find yourself.
You'll learn as you get older that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms & never ever apologize for it.
There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.
"A man who has not passed through the inferno of his passions has never overcome them."
As far as I can see everything is cracking up.
Real learning doesn't happen when you accept what you're told. It happens when you question who is doing the telling — and why. And when you're hungry enough to find answers for yourself.
You are in the process of being indoctrinated.
We have not yet evolved a system of education that is not a system of indoctrination.
"My soul is not contained within the limits of my body; my body is contained within the limitlessness of my soul."
"If one has to die, can you think of a more beautiful place to do so than in Vermont in autumn?"

Heidegger: You only truly live when you become aware you will die — only live when you become free for one's own death and so can make authentic choices in your one and only life.

Marion Goodman: I realized that everyone was looking in the wrong direction. Marion possessed an extraordinary sense of wonder.

Mel Brooks: Sometimes my comedy is just to celebrate the joy of being alive. And sometimes it is philosophical and ideological and I use it as skillfully as I know how.

Until you are no longer attached to your ego in any way, every act you do will have your ego present in it. The ego can only trap you so long as you think you are it.
